An interesting kitchen that expands outdoors

In october 1959, Mr. Herrick Allens of Tacoma, Washington redid his entire kitchen and expanded it onto the terrace.

After the remodeling the deck is accessible through glass door in kitchen. Inside the family kitchen is very colorful. Suspended stainless steel hood contains an exhaust fan. The interesting red and white "wall"  is actually a sliding screen hiding the laundry area and a coat closet.

Cabinets are modular, made of a metal frame and fir plywood sections. Dropped ceiling serves as a big light fixture.
